A young man crosses Europe in search of a new Ithaca. Disillusioned with his own country, he moves from a meager grape harvest in arid Banyuls-sur-mer to Brussels and a seductive, if wistful, encounter with a young woman there. Lastly, he hides out in a soulless suite in a Rotterdam skyscraper, where, like an angel of death, he sets in motion a grisly game seasoned with drugs and a digital daze.

American composer Carol Robinson is in Germany to create a thirty-minute piece with the SWR Symphonieorchester in Stuttgart. The piece is co-signed by one of the pioneers of French electronic music, Éliane Radigue, who has been composing for acoustic instruments since 2005.

One hundred years of images sought and found, film fragments, family tapes, pixels; signs and symbols of a ritual that repeats itself out of time and carries with it the masks of past and present dominations, of an island; Sardinia.
